Comments:

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Business and Professional Women's Clubs of Ontario (BPW Ontario) urges the Provincial Government to change the definition of Part I of the Family Law Act (Property Section) to be the same as the definition under Part III (Support Section) which says:
"spouse" means a spouse as defined in subsection 1 (1) and in addition includes either a man or woman who are not married to each other and have cohabited,
(a) continually for a period of not less than three years, or
(b) in a relationship of some permanence if they are the natural or adoptive parents of a child ("conjoint").
