THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Business and Professional Women’s Clubs of Ontario urge the Government of Ontario to establish an overall Provincial policy for the education of health care workers regarding the risk of latex sensitization to their patients and themselves.
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Business and Professional Women’s Clubs of Ontario urge the Government of Ontario to instruct the Minister of Health to mandate that the Ontario Hospital Association set up a latex-free alternative program to manage all latex sensitive/allergic patients and health-care workers in all institutions that are affiliated with the Ontario Hospital Association.
