THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Ontario urges the government of Ontario to ensure that all nursing homes always have current licenses and that these licenses be issued only if the homes are in compliance with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care standards, as recommended by the Provincial Auditor in his 2002 Report.
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Ontario urges the government of Ontario establish program goals, performance measures, and benchmarks and use them to assess performance in Long-Term Care Facilities, nursing homes and any retirement home acting as a nursing home.
