THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Business and Professional Women's Clubs of Ontario strongly urge the Government of Ontario especially the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care to provide free contraception to teenage girls to help reduce the risk of teenage pregnancies and Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI).
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that BPW Ontario urge the Government of Ontario, especially the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care to mandate that public health units establish teenage pregnancy prevention coalitions similar to the Hastings and Prince Edward Counties Health Unit model to address the local needs and provide healthy choices as well as supportive social environment.
