THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that BPW Ontario urge the Goverment of Ontario to address the under-representation and lack of retention of women in skilled trades with business and labour by adopting the recommendations made by the Construction Sector Council of Canada report, " The State of Women in Construction in Canada" which includes strengthening recruitment and retention practices that challenge existing discriminatory hiring practices, unsafe work conditions, and stereotypical barriers to women's successful entry and advancement in the skilled trades industry.
