THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Business and Professional Women's Clubs of Ontario urge the Government of Ontario to improve funding for homemaker services so that:
1) women who are trained homemakers and employed by homemaker agencies may receive adequate compensation for their work, and
2) homemaker agencies will be able to attract and retain qualified staff to meet the needs of senior citizens who require assistance to remain in their homes rather than be institutionalized.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Business and Professional Women's Clubs of Ontario urge the Government of Ontario to amend the Pay Equity Act to provide pay equity to:
(a) include Private Sector employers with fewer than 10 employees;
(b) put a cap on the length of time Private Sector employers have to make adjustments;
(c) require that posting of Pay Equity plans be mandatory for Private Sector employers with 50 - 99 employees, and Private Sector employers with 10 -49 employees.
