THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Business and Professional Women's Clubs of Ontario strongly urge the Government of Ontario and the Ministry of Labour to:
(a) ensure that employers institute programs of awareness and education to prevent sexual harassment in working establishments,
(b) enforce the Human Rights Code of Ontario and the Employment Standards Act with respect to sexual harassment in timely fashion and with appropriate penalties,
(c) declare sexual harassment a hazard under The Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario (this has already been accomplished in Quebec).
